Finalist in this years Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards

It is an honour to be placed as a finalist in this year's Open Singles category of the Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards, an annual portrait photography prize. The other work placed is simply stunning. The photograph I submitted was taken in the Deep South of Thailand in an area which has an on-going conflict since the early 2000's between the Thai state and Muslim separatists fighting for independence.
Caught up in this drawn out conflict, which sees no end in sight, are everyday people who become innocent victims and remain caught between the two conflicting sides.
