For Those Who Died trying at MAIIAM Contemporary Art Gallery

In recognition of brave Thai human rights defenders past and present we opened For Those Who Died Trying exhibition at MAIIAM Contemporary Art gallery (http://www.maiiam.com) in Chiang Mai, Thailand on International Human Rights Day on December 10th.
For Those Who Died Trying is a tribute to Thai human rights defenders who have been killed or abducted in Thailand in the past 45 years. They are remembered by placing their portrait at the exact location that they were killed at or disappeared from and include 58 people who died between 1974 and 2018. The project has been 4 years in the making.
The exhibition will be open until the end of February 2020.
